The staff in the bar and dining area were friendly. However, at check‑in there were two staff members standing around, and we had to carry our luggage to the last tent on a very wet deck. The tent was basic and the bathroom area was small. Linen was clean, but a second cushion would have been nice. The carpet in the tent and the bathroom mat were dirty. Dinner was good but basic, and breakfast was also good. Overall, we found the night expensive. We’ve stayed at many other so‑called “luxury tented camps” across Klaserie and South Africa, and Camp Bethel did not meet our expectations, especially regarding pricing.
