The room is simultaneously one of the prettiest and yet not cozy. The hotel feels damp and there is a strong scent in the rooms. The tiles are clean but look dirty. The breakfast and dinner are good.

“Best host in Sri Lanka and beautiful building”

Sachintaka, the host, delivered the best service of all my stays in Sri Lanka. He was absolutely professional, detailed, and caring—at a level rarely seen on the island. The rest house is warm, spacious, and elegant, like an oasis between Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. The breakfasts and dining options are high‑end and plentiful, and everything comes at a very reasonable cost. Nothing to criticize. Congratulations, Sachintaka, for the effort you put in.

“Un posto affascinante tra le piantagioni di tè”

I was enchanted by the place, tucked among the mountains and the tea plantations of Pusselawa. The peaceful, genuine vibe, the stunning view, and the friendly staff made for a relaxing and unique stay—plus, the fact that a queen once stayed here is a nice bonus! The room felt a bit damp and had some stains on the sheets, though.

The property exudes old‑world charm, freshly painted and furnished with new pieces. The quirky staff were delightful, and I even found a steak and kidney pie for dinner, a rare treat. The bathroom was spotless and pleasantly scented, but the shower was quite weak and hard to adjust.

Beautiful historical property. The hotel manager told us that Queen Elizabeth used it as a rest stop on her visits to Ceylon. This made it extra special to spend the night here:) They only have 3 rooms which makes it very unique. It's located in a quiet village with no tourists between the tea plantages
