We returned for a fourth night at Hotel Dekalb in Kadıköy on the Asian side of Istanbul, and thanks to manager Oğuz Bey we were upgraded to a junior suite—an excellent gesture. The hotel sits in a perfect central spot near the ferry terminal, metro, and great local restaurants, making it an ideal base for experiencing Turkish culture. Both the hotel and our room were spotless. The building is beautifully renovated with a traditional interior, and from our room we again enjoyed a stunning view of the Bosphorus Strait and the European side. The entire team delivers exceptionally professional and heartwarming service, with special thanks to Oğuz Bey, Kerem, and Mustafa for welcoming us warmly and ensuring everything was perfect. If you want a complete and authentic Istanbul experience, stay at Hotel Dekalb; we’re already looking forward to returning.
