The airport was just a short walk away, which was great, but the morning weather turned out to be disappointing.

Villas Carlota turned out to be the perfect spot for a night near the airport, both on arrival and before departure; we found it very convenient when we landed in Cancún, and the owner was incredibly kind, waiting for us and letting us in later than we had said because of flight delays and car rental issues. The parking was handy, and our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bathroom, plus a good breakfast included in the price. The power outlets were in awkward spots, and the room felt a bit bare and anonymous compared to the rest of the villa, which was much nicer; nothing else to note, though.
