The place is close to the train and the room was roomy with a tidy bathroom and kitchen, but the layout meant the next room was right next door, so I heard a lot of noise at night. The front door was often left open, which felt insecure, and the owner sent the check‑in code on WhatsApp around 3 p.m. without telling me beforehand—no Wi‑Fi made it hard to get the code in time. The towels had visible stains and the sofa was dirty, so overall cleanliness was lacking.

Great price, but no Wi‑Fi and I never got the BaselCard. Also no sheets—just a mattress cover, pillowcase and duvet. Not ideal if you need those basics.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and well ventilated, but the lack of Wi‑Fi was a hassle given the expensive data rates in Switzerland.
