The place was lovely, and my room was large, clean, and had plenty of storage. The only issue was the shower in the Royal Blue Unit – the pressure was almost nothing, so I pulled the shower head off the pipe thinking it was blocked, only to find a rubber piece in the adaptor that I removed; now it works fine. The pillows were terrible, and I usually bring my own but forgot this time.

The pillows were the only problem – just one per person and poor quality. The door also wouldn’t lock.

Not much to say positively. The place was infested with cockroaches and the facilities were dirty.

The location was good, but there was no toilet paper, no towel, no soap, and no blanket in mid‑winter – only a thin summer comforter. No one explained anything or gave me a contact number for requests. I had to knock on a neighbour’s house to find out how to leave because the gate was closed. A bright spotlight flooded the room and the curtains were too thin to block it out.

Lawrence was an excellent host and a genuinely nice guy; he made our vacation a lot more enjoyable.
