“Wonderful stay”

We absolutely loved our time at Arista Villa; the peaceful vibe, the super friendly hosts who made us feel at home right away, the beach‑side spot that kept us away from crowds, and the spotless, well‑kept room with always hot shower water all added to the comfort. A big shout‑out to the lady who cooked breakfast daily – she was attentive, the food was tasty, and the fresh fruit selection each morning was a real treat. We were picked up at the ferry on arrival and dropped off on departure, which made everything smooth and hassle‑free, and the welcome drink was a nice touch. Just remember to pay in US dollars, as the local currency rate is less favorable. All in all, a fantastic experience that we’d definitely repeat and highly recommend for anyone craving a calm beachfront escape with warm hospitality.

We had booked this place a month in advance. When we arrived at Malé airport, we received a message that no rooms were available. We tried to contact the owner right away, with whom we had been in touch on WhatsApp up until the day before, but he was unreachable for hours, leaving us in Malé without accommodation or the transfer to Ukulhas that the property had arranged. Only a few hours later did he reply, explaining that some guests had extended their stay because of the war. While we understand the situation, we believe an alternative solution should have been found for them, not for us. In any case, timely communication and support for arranging the transfer to Ukulhas would have been essential.

The rooms and bathrooms were okay, the courtyard with plants was appealing, breakfast was bland and uninspired but the coffee was good, and the proximity to the beach and the quiet surroundings were nice. The owner, the “manager” (the owner’s son Abdulla), and the girl who handled everything were all very uninterested.
