I had to extend my stay at short notice and managed to stay relatively cheaply; the front desk staff were friendly, and the hotel was close to the fireworks viewing point. However, many other guests were unusually eccentric, and when I returned the bed was occupied by someone else, the overall clientele wasn’t better than elsewhere, and there was no separation between the toilet and shower.

The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and supportive, and the location is perfect for getting around—just next to the bus station, and if you want a free transit ferry you can walk about 30 minutes to the station on Holman Street. Nothing to complain about.

The staff were great from the moment I arrived. The spot is perfect – a quick walk or bus to the CBD and a bunch of shops and eateries just around the corner. The hostel itself was spotless, modern, with vending machines and a killer rooftop view. The only hiccup was having to buy a towel instead of renting one – I get why they do that.

The team here were top-notch and the kitchen had everything you’d need, plus the dorm was super quiet. The downside? There’s only one bathroom for a four‑person dorm, and people from other rooms sometimes use it, which can cause delays.
