The bed was good and everything was clean. The staff were very friendly and gave information about local dining options. There was no comfortable seating in the outdoor area, just a hard bench right at the entrance. The price‑value ratio is off – I paid less for better hotels. The parking is a bit far; the available spots were all taken, which is just bad luck.

The reception was friendly and eager, with pleasant conversations and useful tips about the Ruhrtalradweg. Breakfast was superb and lovingly prepared in a nice breakfast room. The room was functional and clean but lacked comfort and extras; perhaps one is already a little spoiled.
