A temperature sensor started glowing brightly in the dark, which really disturbed anyone with a sensitive sleep; everything else was as good as always.
The service was exceptional, and I really enjoyed staying at Shelest and will definitely return.
Everything was great, but the only drawback was mosquitoes and the lack of nets—though they probably would install them if possible. The rooms do have a fumigator.
“Сподобалася природа. Номер маленький. За можливості беріть більший номер.”
I liked the nature and the secluded spots on the property that we only found after a walk on the map; however, the room was tiny, the mattress and pillows were hard, and the restaurant food was hit‑or‑miss with overpriced prices. The breakfast on the first day was perfect, but the second day had stale bread; overall the breakfasts were tasty but limited. The staff were friendly, yet two unruly women next to us shouted profanity all night and ignored the security guard. At the pool, the staff openly talked about bribes, and in the kids’ room the nanny spoke Russian to the children even though we were speaking Ukrainian. The restaurant staff also spoke Russian. They ignored the “do not disturb” sign and kept knocking for cleaning. Outside the hotel it’s noisy from construction on one side and wedding parties on the other that go past 21:00.
The grounds were beautiful, the pools great, the service and breakfasts superb—total relaxation! The only downside was that our room had no insect net. The hotel’s bicycles could use an upgrade; half were broken. Some days the food near the pool was also unavailable.
