I spent the last part of my South Africa trip at Kaia Tani and it was truly wonderful. We were so comfortable that we added an extra night and skipped Johannesburg. The guesthouse is beautiful and well‑maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home immediately. Barbara and Paolo greeted us with enthusiasm, kindness and great availability, sharing their deep love for South Africa. They took us on two safaris, showing a profound knowledge of Kruger Park and its wildlife. In every story they conveyed respect for animals and sincere affection for the country. The information they provided was invaluable even on the day we did a safari on our own. I also appreciated the township tour; it was a different and important experience, proving that Africa isn’t just landscapes and safaris. Thanks to Barbara and Paolo for the days at Kaia Tani: we’ll carry this beautiful and unexpected experience in our hearts.

“Great stay, close to Kruger”

I booked one night and stayed a second. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Parking inside the property is safe, breakfast was good and the Wi‑Fi was excellent (I had some work to do). There’s a pool where you can enjoy a drink from the well‑stocked bar. The rooms are lovely. The place is just a short drive to the Kruger gate and to one of my favorite restaurants, The Bushveld Terrace. I’ll return when I’m in the area. Instagram: Julia.abroad

The room was clean, but the TV didn’t work and there was no entertainment, which was disappointing for the price I paid.

“Perfetto”

I’m thrilled I picked this place just two minutes from the Kruger entrance; the staff were skilled, friendly and always ready to help, the owners were pleasant and eager to give any advice, the property was impeccably maintained, and I even noticed solar panels with battery storage plus water tanks that kept electricity and water running when the municipality cut off supply—both proved useful during my stay. I would highly recommend it.

“Wunderschöne kleine Anlage”

The location is close to the Phalaborwa gate. The room is very clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was tasty. The property is lovingly designed with a pool. The hosts are warm and friendly. The ventilation is in the sleeping area instead of the usual bathroom, and it’s quite loud, although the bathroom does have a window.
