This is truly paradise; after traveling a lot, it’s genuinely one of the most amazing hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The staff were incredible—from our butler Sujata to servers Hazid, Hoody, and the smiling ladies, to the dolphin‑tour guide Hamza—everyone went above and beyond to make this birthday trip memorable and perfect. The hotel is only a short 20‑minute speed‑boat ride from Malé, and we were greeted and escorted straight to our glorious water villa. The room had every amenity, was luxurious and spotless. Baros has three restaurants; we tried Lime and the Lighthouse, and the food was incredible, with a wide variety executed to fine‑dining standards. The house reef offers easy snorkeling right from your room, and there was nothing negative.

We stayed in the Baros Suite, which was very luxurious and gave us instant beach access and easy entry to the house reef; we loved how private the hotel felt, as if we had our own slice of heaven with hardly any other guests around. The staff were brilliant and anticipated everything we might need, and there was nothing negative.

It’s close to the airport, the resort is very quiet and the beach villa is amazing. There are no activities like water games, the food variety is limited, the rooms are very small, and they charge you for drinking water even though you booked a meal plan.

The vibe was calm and reef‑centric, but a few male staff at the restaurant looked exhausted while serving meals.
