I had originally planned to stay only 2 or 3 nights and even booked just one night, but I ended up staying for over a month. El Parche is a hostel where you feel at home quickly. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxed, and the view of the river is stunning. The kitchen is well equipped, even with a smoothie maker that I used in the mornings for fresh market fruit. And the people—this hostel attracts the warmest folks. Some stay longer, which amplifies the family‑like vibe. That’s also thanks to Miguel, who runs the hostel and has a huge heart. He also happily organizes trips for those who want to join him and his car. The showers are hot; you just have to wait a few minutes. :) I miss El Parche a lot now that I’m no longer there. It was one of the best hostels I’ve ever been to, and I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the Valley again. Thanks for everything!
