The staff were extremely kind and courteous, offering a great traditional Japanese experience with a very private feel—ideal for those who want to keep to themselves while still enjoying an onsen.

The private outdoor hot spring attached to the room was luxurious, and the sound of the stream was very soothing; there were no complaints.

I stayed in a room with a semi‑open air bath; the water overflow from the tub was comfortable, and the fresh green scenery plus the river’s babble were a real treat.

The quietness and the private onsen room were perfect, with the river flowing behind—less stress from the tattooed crowd—and the staff were incredibly helpful and caring; overall, a stunning and flawless escape.

Our stay was delightful; the staff were very attentive and responsive to all our questions, unlike some reviews, they were as helpful in the morning as at arrival and never seemed stressed. We were the only non‑Japanese speaking guests, but they did their best to answer us in English. The place itself was very clean and beautifully decorated, as was our suite. The beds were very comfortable, the living room spacious, and the private balcony onsen wonderful. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated, such as the provided lotions, drinks and supplies. Dinner in a private room overlooking the river was a real experience, and the flurry of meals, coming one after another, was very enjoyable. We wished the staff would spend a bit more time explaining the food to us non‑Japanese. The non‑private onsens were great as well, especially the outdoor one. The breakfast was a bit hard for us to eat, as it was typical Japanese.
