“Excellent restaurant not good rooms”

The pool and restaurant area are fantastic, and the food from the restaurants is among the best I’ve ever had while traveling; you really have to try it! We booked a double room with separate beds and it was spacious enough, but the biggest issue was the humidity – the room was never hot or dry, and some nights I could even smell it through my nose. The location is a bit far from the center, but it’s manageable if you’re a motorcyclist.

“Memorable stay despite a few minor inconveniences.”

Tahanan Resort is truly a beautiful little gem in Siquijor, giving off a peaceful, secluded vibe that feels like your own private resort. While our stay wasn’t perfect, the genuine hospitality of the staff made all the difference. Every staff member we met was incredibly warm and accommodating, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Benjie and Archem at the bar, whose friendliness and exceptional service made our experience even more memorable. And don’t leave without trying the pizza! It’s made fresh in their wood‑fired hearth and was honestly one of the highlights of our stay. We also loved being greeted by Kia, the resort’s sweet resident dog, who added to the welcoming atmosphere. A few downsides: the bathrooms in our rooms had a noticeable odor, the blankets were thinner than expected, and beach towels cost ₱50 to rent for the day, which felt like an unnecessary extra charge. We also had to move one group into a smaller room above the bar due to a room issue, but fortunately it ended up working out just fine for us.

We stayed in a very pretty, simple cabin with a fan and an outside bathroom; the workers are very friendly, there’s a restaurant and a perfect pool to relax and cool off. The sea views are lovely, and its location is good near the town of San Juan. Everything was perfect, and they even helped me plan a surprise for my wife’s birthday—thank you very much. DREAMING OF THE WORLD.

“Quiet hotel with pool, perfect start to any holiday!”

Tahanan resort is exactly what you need for an island getaway. The quiet atmosphere and rooms spread throughout the property gave the trip a peaceful energy that brought in the calm element. The food offered was great, with a nice range of Filipino classics and some additional cuisines (the sushi was good!). All staff members were friendly and helpful, and the room, although oddly shaped, was perfect for our needs.
