The property sits in a lovely rural setting, close to hiking trails, and the garden inside the community and the pool were enjoyable. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes inside the house. I made sure to keep doors and windows shut when I arrived, but at night many mosquitoes buzzed around. It wasn’t just me; I counted at least 25 splashed mosquitoes on the walls or ceiling. Please seal all cracks in the house (near the air‑conditioning unit) so they can’t fly in and disturb guests’ sleep at night. Also, add a cleaning brush for dishes and a kitchen towel to dry cutlery.

“Répondant avec la piscine à dispo”

In the countryside, quiet and peaceful. No drinks were sold on site, and you had to walk more than a kilometer (2 km round‑trip) to buy them; this needs to be fixed, as it happens at other isolated establishments. It’s a disappointment, especially for a hiker on the Algarve trail, where a drink is essential!

“Peaceful oasis”

Casa da Mae feels like an oasis of rest. The place is beautiful, with a nice pool and relaxing area. The room was spacious and cozy. The downside is that it’s a bit out of the center; there’s no shopping or dining on the property, and breakfast isn’t offered.

The accommodation is in a quiet, secluded spot, ideal for those who want to be isolated from everything and everyone. There’s nothing nearby. The nearest locality offers few services. The isolation becomes unpleasant because the air‑conditioning has weak cooling power, and the noise from other guests is noticeable.
