The interior was beautifully clean and gave a sense of freshness; after a day of snowboarding I appreciated the many handy facilities, especially the drying room for gear. I did notice that the neighboring room was loud and the sound seeped through the walls; while we didn't mind, it might be useful for future guests to know that the noise can be transmitted.

The dinner and breakfast were tasty, and the owner kindly arranged a shuttle bus to the ski resort. However, there’s no convenience store nearby— you’d have to take a 20‑minute bus ride or drive, which isn’t very convenient.

The dinner was delicious, featuring fish, meat, dessert, and moist, sticky rice that tasted great. A coffee maker was also available, which was very helpful.

This stay felt like a sweet home away from home. Even though having a car would be ideal, we managed with public transport. The town and the ski resort have a few restaurants open during the day; they offer free shuttles to and from the resort and serve breakfast and dinner on site, though the meals are a bit pricey. The owners are lovely and keep everything spotless; the house smells nice and is well maintained. They don’t speak English, but they use translation tools and try their best. We slept on a futon, which was simple but fine; the bed was a bit hard. The shared bathroom is Japanese‑style, with separate sections for women and men, three open showers, and one shared bath. If you’re comfortable with Japanese‑style lodging and bring your own food, it’s a great stay.
