The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food tasted good; the location was easy to reach. However, the pool had too much chlorine, which made me sneeze constantly because of my allergy and sensitive nose.

The breakfast buffet was decent, but the toilet overflowed, and the hot water stopped after about 20‑30 minutes.

Everything was accessible, the staff were welcoming and accommodating, and the place was very clean. The only downside was that there was no gym available to use.

I loved the location, especially since I grew up around this hotel when the city was still developing; the main streets were easy to reach, walking felt safe, and the streets weren’t clogged with jeepneys like the main road. The check‑in went smoothly, the staff were very helpful, and they arranged a pool‑side view for us. The lobby and reception were always packed, making it feel more like a crowded mall than a hotel. The baggage and parcel storage wasn’t fully secured, and my husband, who was waiting for his ride, couldn’t even sit in any of the hotel‑guest chairs because other people were using them for some business. I stayed for the pool, something I’d swam daily years ago, and was disappointed that they hadn’t upgraded the shower or facilities. The breakfast menu wasn’t as varied as I expected for the price we paid, especially compared to Hotel Mandaya, whose buffet had twice as many dishes and looked fresher.

The hotel is in the city centre, within walking distance of most places. I had some plumbing and air‑con problems, but they were fixed right away.
