The site is peaceful and the dome is nicely set up; however, there is only one shower, which becomes a hassle when every dome is occupied because, of course, everyone wants to bathe at the same time 😅.

I met the Icelandic crew at Helja and we had a great meal at the Barn, chatting and sharing as locals do.

The staff were very friendly and the food at the restaurant was excellent, though there were minor issues with the dome’s carpet and a sealant foam that showed up at the edges—small things that didn’t spoil an otherwise great experience.

It’s very quiet and private; the domes are cosy, and the owner built it himself. Everything in our dome worked perfectly. The restaurant served delicious food and the staff are very friendly. I can recommend this place for 1–2 nights. The only downside is that you can see it’s self‑made; the optics in the domes could be improved, but everything worked well.

It felt like a construction site; we weren’t moved and the conditions compared to the cost were unacceptable.
