The two owners were really nice men who made us feel very welcome and brought us a pot of tea shortly after arrival, but the location was in the middle of nowhere.

“Avoid at all costs”

The location is a long way outside of Rosenallis, which might suit you if you intend to go hiking and have your own transport, but if you are a hiker or cyclist looking for basic youth hostel style accommodation, then maybe this is for you; otherwise it is very basic indeed. Despite travelling alone, I was assigned a dorm‑style room with multiple beds, one of which was in a side room that was partially barricaded off by furniture from the main room, and I find it hard to believe that this arrangement complies with the fire regulations. The room appeared to have been originally equipped with a kitchenette, but this had been partly disassembled. I stayed in mid‑winter; the room was freezing because the heating was switched off overnight and only switched back on after 08:00. The only reason I did not relocate was that I had already paid for two nights in advance.
