The Really Comfy room offers one large double bed for two guests and a crib upon request. A private bathroom includes a shower, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Carpeted flooring, a wardrobe and a safe deposit box provide storage, while a coffee machine supplies hot drinks. A flat‑screen TV is available for in‑room viewing.
“Warm and welcoming”
The room was fantastic—quiet, cozy, beautifully designed for guests with a view, and the mattress was excellent for my back.
The room was tiny and hot, so I needed at least a fan. The breakfast waiter came across as grumpy, and the yogurt pot was disappointingly small.
“Lovely room in a great spot”
The renovation was lovely, and the room felt quirky but well designed. The bed, sofa, fridge, and coffee maker were comfortable, and the voiles, nets, and heavy curtains were a nice touch. A portable air conditioner was a welcome bonus during the heatwave, and the view from the breakfast terrace was great. Nothing to complain about.
“Lovely historic building but average hotel”
The historic building really pulls you into an old‑world vibe with its wood paneling and sloping floors, and the beds are super comfy. The shower was great, and the espresso at breakfast was nice, but the croissant was poor, the scrambled egg was tough, and the toast was brick‑hard and dry. The light room for breakfast added a nice touch, and the chocolate and sweets were a sweet bonus. The hotel feels overpriced for what it offers, and the coffee machine only works with pods, which weren't provided. The décor looks superficial; all the paintings are just digital prints, not originals. In room 2, the outside window was filthy, the bathroom needed a fresh coat of paint, and the toilet required descaling.
The staff were friendly and the food was good, and the location was excellent. The only downside was that room 17 felt very hot.
