I stayed with my friend and 17‑year‑old daughter for two nights while we were planning a trip to the nearby Nera Gorge. The owner’s husband was very helpful and drove us to the trailhead, for which we’re very grateful. The owners are overall very pleasant people. The pension is a structurally interesting building, quite uneven. There is a large, well‑equipped kitchenette. I don’t plan to tackle the “drum in lucru” to the village, because the pension can’t fix that; just allow extra travel time and hope the road repair is finished soon. The room we booked for three was a four‑bedroom, but it actually had two wide (marriage) beds and a big comforter on each, plus I had a sleeping bag. I don’t know how it would have worked if we had four people… probably two rooms. The window in the room was odd – scary that someone could fall out. It had to be open because of the heat. The kitchenette could use a towel.

The host was friendly, always available, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, the courtyard was nicely arranged and the area was quiet.
