“Lage Zentral - Nicht sauber genug”

The location was very central. The staff were friendly. The room was not clean. We didn’t know if the beds had been freshly made or if they had simply rushed the cleaning. The shower towels were not freshly washed and had a smell. Sometimes towels were forgotten or there were none in the room. When we asked for replacements, they wanted a fee. The staff were friendly but not very efficient. On our second night we were on the 33rd floor. We had no hot water, the shower towels were missing, the bed still smelled, perhaps it hadn’t been cleaned. From the 10th floor up, the damage in the room increased.

“Good but will not be coming back”

Huge beds. Clean sheets. The roof deck is a plus. They don’t offer a family room (we were a family of three), so I had to book two separate rooms for two nights and asked for them to be next to each other. My request wasn’t honored, so my daughter stayed apart from us. The air conditioning in one room was broken, forcing a move to another room, which took four hours to arrange. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday dinner on the roof deck and asked for a slice of cake or at least a cupcake to surprise her, but they had none. They don’t even serve dessert on the menu. We cut our dinner short because the menu was very limited. They also ran out of pizza (they said it was all ordered by one guest). The location can be tricky. No fan was provided in the room. The restroom tiles are rusty.

The view was good, the food was okay—though I can't fathom why Norwegian Salmon was the only fish on the menu. The pool was unavailable for the whole stay, and the staff seemed indifferent, refusing even a small compensation like drinks. On the first day we received a notice that our room would undergo a “Pest disinfection.” Seriously, could that not have been done before arrival? According to the map, both the pool deck and the skydeck are missing several items.

“Clean and fancy, beautiful view, skip the breakfast”

The place was clean and stylish, and the room had an extremely comfy bed, a tidy little bathroom, and stunning views. The food was terrible. I didn't try the restaurant’s menu items, but the buffet dinner on the first night was awful: the prawns were powdery and old, the chicken probably undercooked, and everything hot in the buffet—breakfast, dinner—was lukewarm or cold, as if it had sat for hours. Even the rice was dry and chewy, so I avoided the other breakfasts to steer clear of getting sick. I also lost a few points for the air‑con, which sounded like a helicopter taking off right next to my bed.
