We booked a large, well‑priced, and comfortable room in a central spot, but the real highlight was the exceptionally kind and attentive staff—Ozaki, Kumiko, and Yuga—who made us feel like family and welcomed us warmly.

The host was super friendly and hospitable, eager to share the history of the room’s artifacts and samurai armor (the photoshoot was part of the booking). Located right next to Hommachi station, the room was beautiful, spacious, and featured a roomy bathroom and shower, with artwork adorning every wall.

This spot is in the heart of everything, very comfortable, and run by an absolute character who is one of the friendliest people in Japan. The room housed authentic Edo‑period items, and you shouldn’t miss dressing up as a samurai in the makeshift studio; the value was exceptional and it left a lasting mark on our Osaka trip.

The ryokan offers Japanese futon beds, is spacious and clean, and the owners Ozaki and his wife are incredibly hospitable—they share stories about the ryokan’s historical items, arrange a photo session, and send postcards. They also had several gifts for us upon arrival. A small detail: the Mirable Zero showerhead with misting mode was delightful. The location is perfect, just a two‑minute walk from many subway exits.

The ryokan is great, located very well, rooms are spacious, and the host went the extra mile by giving us many recommendations and reserving excellent restaurants for us. We didn’t find anything we didn’t like.
