Ferman Port Hotel - Special Category

The hotel’s location is great, just a few steps from the water and the bridge, and the breakfast was tasty with a terrace overlooking boats; the staff were friendly. However, our room had no windows facing the courtyard, the window faced inward, and from early morning we could hear loud noise from the courtyard and the reception; the room wasn’t fully prepared – we found a kettle, a table lamp, and two trash cans inside the wardrobe. The hallway carpet was already worn and only cosmetically repaired, which doesn’t match the price of the room, though the price is probably justified by the very good location.

“Für einen Kurztrip ok”

The location was good, right by a tram stop and the ferry, and the staff were friendly. For a short trip the hotel is okay, but there are surely better options that are also cheaper. We booked a Deluxe room with a courtyard view but received one facing a building wall, so there was no natural light and it was in a narrow alley. The sink was loose and could be lifted, the minibar was empty, and there was no water.

The breakfast was delicious and had a typical Istanbul selection that I enjoyed; the salad bar was fresh and reassuring. The staff were helpful and friendly, and after checkout the front desk sent me to the taxi pickup point. The location was a bit tucked away, so their thoughtfulness was appreciated.

“OK pentru cele 3nopti petrecute acolo”

The place is close to the main sights, just a short walk from Galataport, Galata Tower, and İstiklal Caddesi, and the linens were clean. The room was a bit cramped for two people, towels were worn, and there was an unpleasant odor in the bathroom at night.
