Parking was convenient, the bar staff were friendly and helpful, the kitchen happily adjusted my chilli to the level of heat I wanted, and even though I arrived very early I was let into my room right away after a long drive from central France.

Small but friendly, not a five‑star place, but if you want good service and a great location, this is worth a visit.

The pub vibe is great and the food is good, though the road and railway make it a bit noisy.
