The bathroom was filthy; we didn’t even stay at all. I asked to at least reimburse for one night, they said yes, but I never heard back.

The gravy was good, but it would have been nice to have eggs as well. The staff was friendly. The location was good for where we were going. The biggest issue was no elevator – people should know this and it should be on the website that there is no elevator because people like us can’t walk upstairs carrying a suitcase. We would have gone somewhere else, but they don’t give refunds. I heard other seniors complaining about this; we were on the second floor as well as others. It really stressed my husband as he has cancer and leg problems. Also people were asking about the pool; there were kids there, but the pool was closed. But what it comes down to, we will not be staying at Motel 8 again.

The spot’s location is handy and the rates are reasonable. The room outside the bathroom was spotlessly clean and thoroughly vacuumed. I did my check‑in online to save time, and the system confirmed I was registered, yet I still had to complete a full check‑in when I arrived at 3:30 pm. The staff member on duty seemed a bit unfocused and struggled to process our second check‑in. The room was clean overall, except for a used band‑aid on the bathroom floor that I had to pick up with a Kleenex and toss; it had apparently slipped through the cleaning crew’s routine.
