The staff, especially Sebastian, was helpful and friendly, and the bed was comfortable with a hot shower; breakfast was good. However, the room and bath were small and somewhat awkward due to the multi‑level floor, the pool was full of sand, and the sand flooring in the lobby made it impossible not to track sand into the room. Our main complaint was the noise coming from the nearby bar, which I was told only happened once a week, but that turned out not to be the case.

The evening staff was very kind and welcoming, and the beds were comfortable; the welcome cocktail was tasty. Unfortunately, there was black mold in the shower, cockroaches in the room, and it was incredibly difficult to lock or unlock the door to our room. There was an infestation of bugs and mosquitoes in the lobby, pool area, and bar area, making those spaces practically unusable because you would be covered in bites and welts immediately. The hotel is located on a dirt path with lots of trash, barking dogs, construction materials, and other debris in the surrounding area. There was very little lighting in the room unless you opened the curtain, which removed any privacy. The breakfast we paid for was basically just eggs in a slightly different fashion (sunny side up, scrambled with ham, or scrambled with veggies) and felt very overpriced for what it was. Wi‑Fi was horrible, barely working in the room. The pool was filled with bugs, dirt, sand, and debris; you could even see the bottom because it was so filthy—disgusting and unusable. Bugs, bugs, and more bugs. Only one staff member went out of their way to be kind, attentive, and talkative—answering questions, providing recommendations, etc. The hotel was extremely run down and did not look anything like the pictures.

It’s a good place to rest, and they have very good recommendations for visitors about places to visit.

The sunrise and the overall setting were really pretty, but the shower barely produced hot water and it felt very cold. In the room we stayed in, there was a pest problem—unsure if it was termites or ants, but there were plenty of them. Every morning I woke up to a lot of bites, possibly from the same ants or bed bugs.
