“The worst hotel I have ever stayed.”
The surroundings were beautiful, but the service was lacking—no politeness from the concierge, who simply stared without greeting. I could hear other rooms’ doors closing, and the garbage truck was noisy from 6 am to 7:15 am. When I called the front desk, the response was an unconcerned “sorry.” A bottle cap from a previous guest was left on the floor, there was no toothpaste or toothbrush, and the light couldn’t be turned off without unplugging it. There was no central control system; each light had to be switched off individually. No turn‑down service, no welcome gift, and information about brunch was only available via a code in the room. When I wanted to eat breakfast on the sofa, I was told to leave in an hour because of a reservation. The only friendly staff member was the doorman who gave a big smile and welcomed me.
