Everything was close by, and the food and New Haven Green were nice. The room and bathroom were small.

I would have preferred rooms without carpet.

The location is a few blocks from Yale University; the suite was comfortable; the attendants were courteous; having underground parking was convenient. Nothing to complain about. The nightly rate was higher than what I paid for a hotel near Times Square in New York, which is probably due to the high seasonal demand from new Yale freshmen.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. It was raining when we arrived, and because the building is older there were roof leaks on the top floor. The location is very convenient and walkable to Yale campus. They offered appetizers for Yale welcoming events, but the apps were very dry and not good, though the fruits were nice. On weekends the area can get loud because of nightlife across the street, which isn’t the hotel’s fault but worth knowing. There also seems to be a culture of very loud motorists who cut off their tailpipes and disturb the town late at night; again not the hotel’s fault but be aware. It’s hard to avoid since these motorists seem to cruise the town. Turning on white noise helps you sleep.
