A very relaxing stop at Cala Iris; a small family hotel that’s beautifully decorated, with a very kind host and staff who are always available. It’s quiet, offers a great breakfast and a delicious meal (extra cost: fish tagine with vegetables). The place is little known but worth a visit, and the Torres‑de‑Alcala fortress is only 5 minutes by car away. The rooms are old.

Breakfast and dinner were average or below; unlike other Moroccan hotels we’ve stayed at, there was no welcome drink or water bottles on arrival, and cats jumped onto the dining table at dinner, which was annoying. Wi‑Fi in the rooms was nonexistent; even other guests complained, and the only Wi‑Fi was in the common area.

A quiet spot near the beach, perfect for relaxing. The staff and manager are very helpful and welcoming, and there’s on‑site dining. Nothing to complain about.
