The views were very private and communication with Ricardo was good. It’s 35‑40 minutes from Mazamitla and you have to take the route Ricardo recommends, you go a bit further, but the side that maps shows is impossible!

The cabin is far from other cabins, making it perfect for privacy and for being surrounded by pure trees with no neighbor or party noise. Inside the house there’s a gas fire in case you don’t want to go outside, and one room has heating. The TV won’t play USB movies or series, though it does have Netflix and YouTube. Also, you’ll need to buy firewood because it’s not included in the rental.

The view is gorgeous; ideal if you want to get away from everything, including the town. The manager, even though he called me “güey,” was always attentive to our stay. However, it’s particularly hard to find and ridiculously far from the town. The manager also addressed me as “güey.” The pots and utensils were corroded, in bad condition, insufficient or unusable, such as the gas stove inside the cabin that had a leak. There were water and heating problems, and you’re not told about them until you arrive; you have to go somewhere else to turn it on if it shuts off, which happens often. The keys are hard to locate, making your arrival even more chaotic.
