The kitchen and appliances are great, the room has an open layout, is very clean and well maintained, and the exercise room is nice; the bed is reasonably comfortable. However, the whole place had a terrible scent, the layout and entry instructions at the rear entry door were confusing, and the heating/cooling unit was very loud and had to be turned off. The room lighting was at eye level and glaring, and I had to turn all lamps on to get adequate light; it seemed the design aimed for a high‑end look but was not convenient or simple. The bathroom was actually very well lit. The parking entrance lacked clear signage, so I didn’t know which lot was correct and had to leave the lot, go west, back onto Lancaster Blvd., and make a U‑turn on a side street to find the right entry drive. The TV wasn’t plugged in properly, forcing long hallway walks back to reception; the receptionist had to call back to the desk because no one else was there, causing a delay. There was no signage for the elevator either; it was in a narrow, obscure hallway offshoot within the main long hallway, which I wasn’t told about at reception. Finally, the regular Los Angeles TV channels were very limited, and I don’t watch cable, streaming services, or other channels. Many shortcomings and annoyances were unexpected given the appearance.

The property looked well kept and modern, but the room smelled like body odor when I first arrived. I had to go to the store for air freshener and change the sheets and blankets.
