Robert, the host, was exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed a fantastic time, including a tour to swim with Manta Rays and Sharks. The food was excellent—poisson cru, sashimi (Ahi Tuna), chicken, salad, cake, and many other island specialties. Tiapa'a feels like a paradise, and Robert’s assistance, along with our friend Philippe (who speaks English), made everything run smoothly even though I only know a few French words. Robert’s wife, who speaks English, was in France. If you’re after island life in a paradisiacal setting, Tiapa'a is a solid choice. However, if you expect full luxury with all the modern amenities (AC, pool, TV, etc.), you’ll be disappointed because that’s not what Maupiti and Tiapa'a offer. Robert even provides traditional Tahitian accommodations/huts on his property. The only thing we didn’t like was mosquitoes—nothing we could do about them.

I had an authentic Polynesian experience here. The house chef, Robert, was a very attentive host. Sleeping on a motu was a beautiful experience—thank you. We felt welcomed and shared in a way that’s priceless. My bed was perfect, and the food was excellent. P.S. there are no roosters around.

Françoise and Robert gave a warm welcome. The location is great, snorkeling nearby is amazing, and the sunsets are beautiful. The pension feels very family‑oriented, and we met some wonderful people. I would have preferred to go straight to Françoise or the pension since it was much cheaper.
