“Heaven on Earth - a peaceful and divine home away from home”
If you’re after peace and quiet, this is the place to go; it’s literally heavenly—views are amazing, the air is fresh, the cows moo, and if you’re there at the right moment you might see calves being born. Heather was fantastic, and for our anniversary she surprised us at breakfast with a divine bottle of sparkling wine. Every morning the breakfast arrived on time and was absolutely delicious. The property also offers two hiking trails: the river trail leads down to Lions River where you can swim and canoe, and the forest trail lets you walk through pine woods and spot various birdlife and small animals. Next time I’ll remember to bring carrots for the donkeys, lol. Even though it’s a BnB, there’s a braai facility and a boma for lovely firelit evenings under the stars. There is nothing we didn’t like—we loved everything, the room was clean and tidy, and the homeowners went above and beyond; we’ll definitely return soon. It’s truly spectacular and very central to the Midlands Meander.
