Hotel Garni Arosa lies 180 m from the Silvretta Cable Car in Ischgl’s centre. Spa includes a steam bath, infrared cabin, Finnish and bio saunas, and two relaxation rooms. Rooms offer cable TV, minibars, seating areas, bathrooms with toiletries, hairdryers, bathrobes, slippers, and most have balconies. Bar, ski‑pass sales, parking, and nearby ski runs, ice rink, and tunnel with moving walkway.

After a 12‑hour drive from Denmark we expected the usual early‑morning breakfast that ski‑goers get. Instead we were turned away, and the spread that was offered was a joke – barely any bacon or eggs, and it seemed only the first two of the fifty guests got anything decent. After two decades of never having this problem, it was a real disappointment.

The breakfast here was solid – fresh pastries and a good coffee bar – but the hammam was out of order the whole time we stayed. It was a shame because we’d been looking forward to using it after the meals.

The spot couldn’t be better; it’s right in the middle of everything you’d want to see and walk to. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient base.

Breakfast was tasty and the hotel sits in a great area with a handy underground parking space. Unfortunately the sauna only ran from 4 pm to 7 pm – something that wasn’t mentioned when we booked – and the bathroom was missing shampoo and soap. To make matters worse, after checking out 45 minutes late the staff shouted at us from the room, which felt unnecessarily rude for a paying guest.

The location is spot‑on, just a short walk to the main attractions and public transport. Nothing else to complain about.
