The room was clean, the bed and pillows comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming; they gave us a printed city map highlighting the main sights and recommended good, inexpensive restaurants nearby. We took the staff’s offer for breakfast at 6,5 € and were overall satisfied, since a nearby café offers a pricier breakfast. The breakfast included tea/coffee, orange juice (not freshly squeezed), yogurt/fruit purée, a croissant, and a fresh baguette with butter, jam, and honey. The spiral staircase is not very convenient if you have large luggage.

“Hôtel simple , proche avec un personnel chaleureux et très bien placé !”

L’hôtel est très bien placé sur le vieux port Les Chambres sont propres et bien entretenues. Le personnel est agréable et souriant. J’ai été très bien accueilli. C’est la première fois que je rentre dans un hôtel et que je passe 1/2 heure à la réception à parler de ma passion avec le réceptionniste ! Clin d’œil au fan de Tennis! J’ai adoré 😊 Hôtel silencieux. Petit déjeuner simple mais avec un bon rapport qualité-prix. Le rideau de douche et même si ce n’est pas gênant pour moi , attention pas d’ascenseur

It’s very well located in the old port of La Rochelle, and we slept wonderfully. The staff were very friendly. I paid a little extra for a double room with a view, but they put me in a triple room on the first floor with no explanation. Although it faces the port, there is no view because it’s at the height of the trees. It’s a pity; if I’d known, I would have booked the cheaper option. The room is very small, so when you move to the other side of the bed you touch the wall, and it’s very dirty from use; it needs repainting and maybe a bed 5 cm shorter.

The location is good, close to the train station, and simple. The street noise at night is a problem.
