The staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a lake behind the hotel with a 10‑minute walk through trees. It’s close to shops and the rooms are nicely sized and comfortable. The parking is good. The only drawback is that it’s a bit far from the city center, but that’s beyond the hotel’s control.

The location was good and easy to locate. We enjoyed the bar, the staff were friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed that was huge! The only downside was that it’s a chain hotel, so it feels a bit bland. In our room, some plug sockets and the bedside lights didn’t work. It looks tired overall, though the public areas are fine, so a refresh could help.

The location is convenient with plenty of parking and shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel could use an update – the room felt dated and a little shabby.

The facilities are modern and good. However, claiming to be “dog‑friendly” while charging £20 per dog is absurd.

Felt tranquil even though it’s next to a busy interchange, spacious room, cosy and comfortable, not too modern but not dated either, would visit again. It was a long journey but that can’t be helped it was worth the journey and I’d book an extra night to alleviate the long travel
