“古民家体験!”
I could feel the old‑world charm of the traditional house and it felt like a unique experience. If the hangers for coats had been on the second floor instead of the first, I wouldn't have had any complaints.
“It was only one night but it’s perfect.”
Everything was flawless. The host, Suzuki‑san, welcomed us warmly and patiently explained the house and its history. The architecture is stunning, the place is spotless and relaxing for a large group. Nothing to criticize.
They revived the traditional house with original ideas, creating a space I had never seen before. I have no complaints; the space is larger than expected, so it’s great for a big group.
The pricing was confusing. I booked the whole building and asked in advance if an extra person would incur an additional fee; they said “yes, it’s fine.” On the day, they told me the extra charge was ¥6,000 and I was shocked. “Fine?” I asked. I was also surprised when an outsider, perhaps a café customer, barged in during the facility explanation and made me feel uneasy.
The tables and chairs had a solid feel and were lovely. The autumn leaves outside the window were beautiful, the place was clean and pleasant, and the heating worked well. Because we were an older couple, we thought it safer to sleep on the first floor where the bathroom is closer, but the room was wide and the floorboards made it cold during the season, so I got shoulder stiffness. I wish there had been a bed.
