The facilities are very pretty and comfortable, the view is spectacular, but the availability of food and drinks on the menu was limited; several items were missing. Keeping the beautiful facilities in good condition was also an issue: the bathroom light didn’t work and there were some poorly made fixtures in the bathroom.

The staff were very friendly, but the mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable, the sheets were not cotton so they produced a lot of heat and there was only a small fan for the whole room. Water access was very limited: the shower water didn’t flow, the toilet cistern had to be filled manually, and the shower head sprayed against the wall so you didn’t get wet. On the last day we had no water in the toilet and were told that because of the wind the water couldn’t reach the pump, which was very uncomfortable. I understand that water is scarce for the place but they didn’t explain it; it’s surprising to find out that way, especially with the high temperatures, something a guest should be able to evaluate. The price was supposed to include breakfast and drinking water, yet we were charged for water.

I loved the place and the beach, and the island itself is gorgeous. The rooms were unbearably hot, had no windows or airflow, the menu was limited, and the food didn’t match the price of the room.

The place has potential, and Erika and Darwin were really helpful. The sea is gorgeous and crystal clear, and they even lend out masks, which is a nice touch. But the hostel itself feels a bit run down—wooden chairs are broken and have no cushions, the floor is rough, and there are rusted nails everywhere.

We liked the location and Mara was super attentive, plus the dogs were adorable and the beach access was direct with clear water. However, the rooms had no locks, which was uncomfortable, and everything else—food, tours, transfers—was overpriced. The snorkel trip cost 160,000 COP for two and lasted less than an hour, with a damaged coral spot that nobody warned us about.
