The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the place was a peaceful spot for a few days of disconnection; breakfast was super good and generous, the pool was very clean, and the food was also good. The pillows were too uncomfortable, and another issue—though not the hotel’s fault—was the presence of dogs and cats, which is a problem for us allergic folks because there are several and they’re quite heavy.

The tranquility is fantastic, the views are stunning, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. I really appreciated the hospitality. Getting there is a nightmare though; the road is awful, and I had to pay $40 for the drive. There was a shuttle that could have taken me for just $3.50, but they never mentioned it.

The hotel sits right across from the beach, so you hear the sea all day and at night the darkness lets you fully appreciate the surroundings. They serve a buffet breakfast in the main hall, the pool is clean, and the staff are always attentive. Unfortunately we couldn’t have dinner or lunch there because the restaurant’s chef was absent those days, and they only suggested a place about 20 m away called BOMBOM.

The hotel’s beach is gorgeous, with plenty of waves but still very empty, giving the feeling of a private shore surrounded by vegetation and wildlife. It’s a perfect spot to disconnect. Angel was an excellent host, chatting and treating us wonderfully. The AC in my room failed, so they moved me to another room, but the hot water there didn’t work either, so I spent the whole stay in two rooms—sleeping in one, showering in the other. Leonela fixed the issue, but her attitude could use some improvement.

The garden and grounds are lovely and well kept. The standard rooms are far more comfortable than the loft. After a rough first night, manager Leonela shifted us to two regular rooms, which made a big difference, and Choko was consistently kind, helpful, and welcoming. The loft itself was disappointing: the mattresses were so hard you could feel the springs, causing painful sleep, and a strong chemical/mosquito‑repellent scent left us with headaches. A strange white liquid rose from the floor; staff knew about it and tried to clean it, but it seemed like an ongoing issue. We also faced water and power outages for three straight days, which hurt the experience. The location is also questionable: although the property is by the sea, the beach wasn’t suitable for swimming during our stay. Getting into town takes about 30 minutes by bus and costs $3.50 each way per person, adding time and cost. Given the price we paid, we expected a better overall experience.
