“One time only”
The room was cold; the windows had a huge gap that let in cold air and daylight. The TV didn’t work. We asked for a heater, which they supplied but it didn’t work. There was a dog in the guest sleeping area that whimpered until 2 am. The music was something you were warned about and that was probably the only thing that was good. Tea and coffee were supplied but the milk was old and not drinkable. The bathroom was small, cold, and unclean. Never would we return to this hotel.
The room was spacious, had an ensuite and a huge bathtub. The bed was super comfy and the price was right. The food was tasty and there were plenty of drink and food specials. I’d come back because it’s in the middle of everything.
I loved the bedroom – the bed was very comfortable and the warm showers were spotlessly clean. The staff were kind and friendly.
“Would definitely return, perhaps longer stay!Friendly welcoming staff!!!”
I had no idea breakfast was offered, but the vibe and dinner were great. I didn't even check the Wi‑Fi because I didn't need it. It was a fantastic night! The staff were amazing.
“Very welcoming, good pub but rooms shabby”
The manageress was wonderful, juggling check‑in while running the bar single‑handed on St Patrick’s Day, and she was so helpful and welcoming. The pub was fun, we had a nice Guinness and steak pie, and the bed itself was clean and comfortable. The old building had so much potential. I’m sorry to leave this rating because she was so lovely. The upstairs area and room were dated and shabby, far beyond the old‑world charm. It was way overpriced compared to other places we stayed on the trip. There were other issues mentioned in other reviews that I hadn’t read before. I hope they can afford to restore it because the building had so much potential and the staff were committed.
