The breakfast was okay, but the house looked untidy, lamps were heavily dusted, the room door only opened when pushed against, the ceiling light didn’t work leaving us in darkness at night, and a constant whirring from the ventilation system next door kept us awake; the dining area felt claustrophobic, dusty, and spider‑webbed on the TV and windows; only one night, but the name “Blue Grotto” didn’t live up to expectations, so I can’t recommend it.

The place was small but clean, and the price/value was great, though the bathroom felt a little cramped but manageable.

The American‑style vibe and motel look were somewhat cool, but the hotel clearly needs a makeover; it’s stuck in the past with a massive renovation backlog, spotty carpet, peeling tape, and spider webs.
