Alojamiento Angel

The room was small but very comfortable and nicely decorated; after many travel days, little touches like paintings make a difference. The kitchen area was convenient. The location is unbeatable, just a stone’s throw from Puerta del Sol and surrounded by bars and shops right off the floor, yet the room was completely quiet. The downside was the lack of an elevator – even though it was on the ground floor, the building was so crowded that no one helped me with my luggage. The bathroom was beautiful, but since there was only one, I had to wait in the morning because someone else was using it.

“Okay …”

There was no breakfast. The room was small but clean, yet it was scorching hot when I entered, with no window to let in any breeze. The young woman at the front door, who had just dropped me off a couple of blocks away, didn’t speak much English when I asked about fire safety. The stairs were a bit risky, especially with a suitcase, but a kind guest helped me down when I requested assistance.

“zeer matig en veel te gehorig.”

Locatie is heel goed. Geen rookmelders op de kamers en overige ruimte, wat wel noodzakelijk is. Adres is nummer 3 en op de bel gedrukt en kreeg een andere bewoner van het pand op de intercom. gebeld met de hostel en moest op nummer 1 drukken, niet erg logisch en wordt van te voren niet meegedeeld en kost weer extra tijd en moeite. Verder slecht geslapen en erg gehorig wat betreft de overige gasten. 4.00 in de nacht kwamen er wat jongelui binnen en zette de muziek aan

“Buena ubicación, habitación sin ventilación natural.”

The location is great. The room had no window to the outside, so there was no natural light or ventilation. The doors of other guests made a lot of noise when opening and closing. With the number of rooms in use, the single bathroom was insufficient.
