A lovely place run by a kind local family who’ve hosted guests for over 20 years, full of knowledge about Nias, local businesses, and the surf scene. The spot is perfect for watching the waves, the food—especially Ivo’s BBQs—is excellent, the coffee is awesome, and the rooms are large, air‑conditioned, and private. The family goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable; I really liked my time at Shady Palms and highly recommend it for the value it offers.
