The décor was oddly kitschy yet the setting was quiet, tidy, and welcoming; I didn’t come to Casalpalocco for its sights but for practical reasons, and I would recommend it.

The interior was neat and comfortable, though there’s no metro nearby; with a car you can park at the nearest metro stop and the train stops right at the Colosseum.

Getting to the city center and the beach was easy, the area was lively with shops and a gelato shop nearby, the place was clean with a fresh scent, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly; however, the restaurant directly below our room turned off the air‑conditioning and opened the windows each evening, so our clothes and the room filled with grill smoke and food aromas, which was a bit distracting.
