For the price it was comfortable and quiet; they told me there was a pool but I couldn’t find it, which isn’t a big deal, though the rooms could have been cleaned better; definitely check the sheets and pillows before settling in.

It was close to where we needed to be and the price was decent, but parking was tight.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and surpassed our expectations, and if you’re in Emporia you’re missing out if you don’t stay there; thanks again, Econo Lodge Emporia. Parking could be larger.

The breakfast I paid for was pretty underwhelming.

The place was spotless and getting to our room was a breeze, but the breakfast was awful and the manager was rude. She told me the pet deposit was $10 per night per pet, which would have cost us $80, yet she charged me $140 and claimed that when I called she answered and never mentioned any of those details. We didn’t even get the room we booked; they handed us a different one that was supposedly cheaper, but still billed us for the pricier room. She wouldn’t refund until we reached out to corporate, who then said they couldn’t do anything and suggested we contact our bank. On top of that, the pool was closed.
