The location was good and getting around was easy. I wish there had been a braai. The host was unfriendly when I asked for a cutting knife. In the family unit there was no kitchen basin or space to make a sandwich, nor utensils to prepare any meal. There was no kitchen cloth or soap to clean up with.

The beautiful surroundings, the peace and the electric blanket in the cold weather were so wonderfully comforting. Nothing else; it was a nice place to stay.

The quiet surroundings were the highlight, but the place felt a bit too rustic; we’d have liked better outdoor facilities to relax in the garden or even to have a meal there, or at least a grill.
