Very well located. The room size was great, the bathroom excellent, and the reception was very good. Nothing else.

Very close to Istiklal, one of Istanbul’s most iconic streets! The spot was great, central, with a lot of restaurants and bars nearby, but the street was quiet enough that we didn’t hear any noise at night. The receptionists were also pretty nice. The room was small, but it was worth the price. I felt the room could have been cleaner, especially the sheets. Also, don’t advertise that you provide shampoo and body wash when all you had was a mix with water—so bad we couldn’t even use it to wash our hands. You have to ask the front desk for the AC remote; otherwise, it won’t be given to you.

I have stayed at the Mint Residence several times. The location is ideal—just a 2‑minute walk to İstiklal Caddesi, a 5‑minute walk to Taksim metro station, which connects to all parts of Istanbul. The rooms and the hotel in general have a ’70s charm, so they’re not modern, but they’re very clean and perfect for a city trip. The day‑time receptionist Eljan speaks excellent English, and the night‑time receptionist Serkan helps with everything immediately, whether it’s tours, hamam/massages, restaurant tips or airport taxis. I always feel very well taken care of there and would stay again anytime. I would highly recommend this place to anyone—especially solo female travelers—looking for a safe and relatively inexpensive stay near Taksim Square. Nothing was out of the ordinary, everything was as usual.
