The hotel and campsite are very pretty, modern and quiet, and the room comes with a small terrace overlooking Birkensee; the bistro and beer garden are only open from Thursday to Sunday, 10 to 19 h, but the food was good. Unfortunately there was no breakfast as advertised on the website, and we had to rely on our own provisions, only able to grab a coffee to go at the bistro.

The place is modern and comfortably furnished, and check‑in and check‑out were hassle‑free. The only downside is that there is no nearby shop except the campsite kiosk or the pub.
